Abstract: The 2001 Urban Family Health Partnership (UFHP) Evaluation Survey was designed to evaluate the progress of the UFHP program in delivering an essential service package of primary health care interventions in underserved urban populations of Bangladesh. Data focus primarily on knowledge and use of services related to family planning, maternal and child health, and awareness and use of UFHP facilities. The survey itself has two main purposes: 1) to collect information relevant to monitoring the progress of the project as specified in USAID's NIPHP Results Framework and 2) to provide data for evaluating the impact of the UFHP program on improving the health status of the population in UFHP areas and in expanding access to ESP services. This report presents findings from the following topics: contraceptive use, antenatal care, childhood vaccinations, child health, knowledge of health promotion behaviors, fertility, and early childhood mortality.
