Data for Impact (D4I) is working with a multi-partner group, led by the Kenya Ministry of Health (MOH), to provide technical assistance for the Kenya Harmonized Health Facility Assessment (HHFA). The HHFA will provide baseline information to inform strategic and operational planning for universal health coverage (UHC) in Kenya by 2022. D4I supports this effort with training for research associates in the baseline data collection and feedback on data collection tools and training materials, quality control, logistics support, analysis, and report writing. D4I subsequently strengthened skills among MOH staff to analyze qualitative data collected on the functioning of community health services across 47 counties. These data will shed light on gaps in health service availability, quality of care, health facility management, equity in resource allocation, and availability and affordability of medicines. Findings are useful to identify areas for strengthening as UHC is implemented across the country.
